[AC] 問﹕Cooling Tower 响Statutory Submission, Design, T&C 上有啲乜要注意?

Statutory Submission to EMSD
CT1A ---> Application (Layout)

CT1B + CT4 ---> 報開工 + detail, including schematic and layout
CT2A ---> 報部份完工
CT2B ---> 報完工
CT3 ----> 交驗水報告,Water meter data (Including make-up & Bleed-off), Power Consumption, 每三個月一次

另外要交WWO52响WSD申請特許供水

Design需要注意事項﹕
head room
- Intake/exhaust direction
Static if air duct required
Structure /column
- Heat source for plume
Condensing water pipe

Intake / exhaust direction 決定用邊種Cooling Tower

Induced Draft
Counter Flow
Forced Draft
Cross Flow
1. forced draught counter (forced 少用, 風扇係底)
2. forced draught cross (forced 少用, 風扇係底)

3. induced draught counter (counter, cross 指風同水方向,相反即呢隻fin 在ct 內即為counter) 
4. induced draught cross (最常見,fin 在兩旁)
呢張圖易明得多﹕


Counter flow/ Cross flow 最大分別係個 Drift Elminator and Fill 位置唔同;

Induced Draft/ Forced Draft 最大分別係水同風既方向
Drift Elminator 係用嚟減少被風扇吹走既水;Fill 係用嚟加大水同空氣既接觸面及時間 

大體而言,Forced Draft 係 Low Noise 啲但 Efficiency低啲;Counterflow比起Crossflow响Energy Efficiency, Maintenance等方面有絕對優勢,但Crossflow係相對低啲Initial Cost, 同埋由於Counterflow 係四方八面攞風所以空間上冇咁優勢。

仲有種叫Dry Cooler, 可以睇成係Closed Loop嘅Cooling Tower

至於計Flow方面,會假設啲水溫由37℃ Drop 到 32℃, 就可以用最簡單Q=mc delta T 計個Flow. 此外仲有幾個位會唔見水要makeup water 補返,包括Evaporation, Drift Loss & Bleed-off.

Energy saving 方面,個Fan and conderser pump 都可以裝VSD, 另外仲有Automatic cleaning tube 減少個conderser 水垢慳pump power
Testing and Commissioning by RPE

1. Physical Check: 成個水塔既唔同部件
2. Thermal Performance: Heat rejection capacity, Air flowrate, Air entering leaving dry wet bulb temp., water flow rate and its temp., make up water and bleed water quantity
3. Fan: type, diameter, volume, power, pressure

4. Electrical test: Voltage, starting and running current, starter type
